A choice between transformer and transformerless paths on one card

The BAD4M lets you switch the input analog stage between a classic BX1 transformer path, coupled without op-amps, and a newer transformerless BOPA14 preamp built as a fully discrete Class-A design. That flexibility removes the need for two separate conversion cards for sessions that call for analog saturation versus mastering work, where maximum transparency in the signal path matters - a switch on the card does the job instead of swapping hardware mid-session.

Modular channel expansion without replacing the whole interface

Ten independent card slots in the Mothership chassis let you add conversion channels gradually as a studio's needs grow, without buying a new interface every time the recording system expands.
