Shure P3TERA215CL-K3E – premium PSM300 wireless in-ear monitoring set, comprising a P3T transmitter, a P3RA receiver, and SE215-CL earphones, in the K3E band (606-630 MHz). The system transmits in analog form using patented Audio Reference Companding technology, cutting self-noise in the signal path and eliminating the artifacts typical of cheaper wireless setups, with a range of up to 90 m and a signal-to-noise ratio reaching 90 dB. The half-rack P3T transmitter handles one input channel on a 6.3mm TRS connector with a loop output, letting several units be chained together when expanding the system for additional performers. The Premium set uses the all-metal P3RA receiver with an LCD display, rather than the simpler P3R found in the base-level set.

Two independent mixes from a single transmitter

MixMode lets each performer independently set the balance between the two audio channels sent from the same transmitter, such as the mix between their own instrument and the rest of the band, without needing a separate mixing path for every person onstage. The P3RA's two-band shelving EQ, with adjustable bass and treble, further tailors the monitored tone to personal hearing preference, and a volume limiter protects hearing from sudden level jumps when settings change at the transmitter.

Power matched to the type of gig

The P3RA receiver runs on two AA batteries for up to 6-7 hours or on the SB900A lithium-ion battery, which charges directly in the bodypack without removing it, which matters on daily tour schedules with limited time between soundcheck and the show. The all-metal receiver construction, unlike the plastic housing of the base P3R model, holds up better to drops and daily packing into a transport case.
